About Selma

I'm Selma, chef and founder of Selma Cooks. My approach to food is to bridge the gap between community, sustainability, art and diversity. My journey has been influenced by multiple cultures and worldwide flavors, which blend together in my creations.

My story

I grew up between Morocco and Spain, surrounded by fragrant spices and vibrant kitchens. As far as I can remember, I have always been curious about culture and how to make a meal exciting. My journey with food began early and grew further as I traveled and met people around the world, leading me to discover incredible meals and flavors combinations. My cooking is inspired by the richness of culture, the beauty of nature and the power of the present moment.

Different traditions fascinate me.

I believe that gathering around the table is one of the most meaningful ways to connect and bridge the gap  between cultures.

How Selma Cooks started

Selma Cooks began with a vision to blend food, art and community into an experience without boundaries. Inspired by my multicultural background and global travels, I wanted to create a space where food becomes a canvas for artistic expression, cultural celebration, and human connection. Selma Cooks merges visuals, Norwegian and international flavors and traditions, fostering a sense of unity and celebrating the beauty of our shared experiences.
